Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 September 2026
The short version
- We keep what you say so the conversation can remember you.
- AI services read your words to reply. They do not use them to train their models.
- We never sell your data. We show no ads. We use no trackers.
- You can delete any conversation, or your whole account, yourself — from
Account in the app. To see or download everything, email
hello@aimindengine.com.
1. Who we are
AI Mind Engine (“we”, “us”) is run by Jamaludheen KN, an
individual based in India. We decide how your data is used. Under Indian law we
are the “Data Fiduciary”. Under EU and UK law we are the “controller”.
2. What we collect
| What | Details |
| Your account | When you sign in with Google: your name, email address,
profile photo and a user ID. When you sign in with an email link: your email address
and a user ID. While you wait for the link, your email is kept in your own browser,
and removed once you sign in. Before you sign in: only a random user ID, made by
Google Firebase when you open the chat. If you never sign in, that ID and its
conversation are deleted 30 days after the ID was made. |
| Your conversations | What you type. What we reply. The reading we make
from your words, such as which parts of your words showed calm or strain. |
| Your voice | If you speak, we send the recording to be turned into
text. We do not keep the recording. We keep only the text you
choose to send. |
| Payments | Our payment partner takes your card details. We
never see your card. We receive your plan, its status, dates, currency,
and the payment notice they send us, which can include your name, email and
country. |
| Usage | How many conversations and speech minutes you have used
and have left. |
| Feedback | If you tell us what you think of the service, we keep
your answer and any words you add, with your account. It is deleted when you
delete that conversation or your account. |
| Report answers | If you tap Is this right? on
your report, we keep your answer (yes, partly or no) and which part of the report
it was about. We also keep whether you agreed to count your answers in our
research. Answers about one moment are deleted when you delete that
conversation. All of them are deleted when you delete your account. |
| Your agreement | Before your first message you tick that you are
18 or older and agree to our Terms and this Privacy Policy. We keep the time you
ticked it and the exact words you agreed to. It is deleted when you delete your
account. |
| Technical | Your IP address, browser type and request times, in
our server logs. |
Your conversations may be sensitive. You may talk about your
feelings, health, relationships or beliefs. You choose what to share. By using
the service you give us explicit consent to process what you
tell us for the purposes below. Please avoid sharing private details about other
people.
We may use your rough location (country) to show you a crisis helpline for
your country. We do not store it.
3. Why we use it
| Purpose | Legal basis |
| To run the service: read your words, reply, and remember past conversations |
Your consent, and our contract with you |
| To turn speech into text | Your consent, and our contract with you |
| To take payments and track what you have left | Our contract with you, and the law |
| To show a helpline if you seem to be in crisis | Your consent, and protecting your life |
| To improve the service. We review saved conversations and session
reports to find mistakes and test changes. Only the people who build the service
can read them, and they must keep them confidential. |
Your consent. You can say no at any time: untick Help improve AI Mind
Engine in Account in the app (see section 7). |
| Research on whether the reading is right. If you agree on your report,
we count your Is this right? answers together with other
people's. We use counts only, never your name or your words. |
Your consent. You can say no on the report, and you can ask us to remove
your answers at any time (see section 13). |
| To keep the service safe and stop misuse | Our legitimate interest |
| To follow the law | Legal obligation |
We do not: sell your data, share it for advertising, let
others train AI models on it, or use it to make decisions with legal or similar
effects on you. The readings are made by software. They describe your words,
and how the software chose to reply. They are not a diagnosis.
4. Who else handles your data
We use these service providers. Each one may use your data only to provide
its service to us.
| Provider | What it does |
| Google Cloud | Runs our servers, database and storage. |
| Google Firebase | Handles sign-in with Google, and sends the email sign-in link. |
| AI model providers | Read your words and write the reply. These are
third-party AI model providers under contract; we will tell you who on request,
and we do not let anyone train on your conversations. |
| ElevenLabs | Turns your voice into text. |
| Dodo Payments | Sells the subscription as the “merchant of
record”. It takes payments, handles tax and sends receipts. Its own privacy
policy, at dodopayments.com,
covers your payment details. |
| Google Workspace | Our email, if you write to us. |
| Google Fonts | Loads the fonts on our pages. It can see your IP address. |
We may also share data if the law requires it, to protect someone’s life, or
as part of a sale or merger of the service. If that happens, this policy still
applies.
5. Where your data is stored
Your account data, conversations and records are stored in Mumbai,
India. Web traffic passes through our server in Singapore. Some of our
providers process data in other countries, including the United States. When
data leaves your country, we rely on our providers’ contracts, such as the EU
Standard Contractual Clauses, to protect it.
6. How long we keep it
- Account and conversations: while your account is open.
- After you delete: when you delete a conversation or your
account in the app, it is removed from our live systems at once. When you ask
us by email, within 30 days. Either way, backup copies are gone within 90 days.
- Payment records: as long as tax and accounting law
requires, up to 8 years. This includes the payment notices our payment
provider sends us, and it is kept even after you delete your account.
- Server logs: up to 30 days, longer only if needed to
investigate misuse.
7. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- see the data we hold about you, and get a copy;
- correct data that is wrong;
- delete your account and all your data;
- stop using your conversations to improve the service;
- withdraw your consent at any time. This stops future use.
It does not affect use before it. Without consent to process your conversations,
we cannot run the service for you.
- name someone to act for you if you die or cannot act (India).
You can delete a conversation or your whole account, and
stop the review of your conversations, yourself — from
Account in the app. For anything else, or if you prefer, email
hello@aimindengine.com
from the email you sign in with. We reply within 30 days. It is
free. We will never treat you worse for using these rights.
If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to your data protection
authority. In India, that is the Data Protection Board of India. In the EU or UK,
it is your local supervisory authority.
California residents: we do not sell or share personal
information, as those words are defined in California law.
8. Security
All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS). Data is encrypted where it is stored. Access
is limited to the people who run the service. Your sign-in cookie cannot be read
by page scripts and ends after 14 days. No system is perfectly safe. If a breach
affects you, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
9. Cookies
We use one cookie, __session. It keeps you signed in.
The service cannot work without it. Firebase also stores your sign-in state in
your browser while the tab is open. We use no analytics or advertising
cookies.
Links we share on social media or in our blog can end in a short code, such as
?ref=li. When you open one, our own server adds one to a count for
that code and that day, and adds one more if you then sign up for the first time.
The count holds no name, email, ID or IP address, and no cookie is set. Your
browser keeps the code in that tab only, until you sign in or close it.
When you sign up for the first time from such a link, we also keep that one
code with your account, so we can see which of our posts brings people who come
back. It is kept once, never updated, and deleted when you delete your
account.
Share cards. If you tap Make a share card on your
report, we make a public page that shows your state names and their patterns, and
nothing else. It never shows your words, your name or your email. Anyone with the
link can open it. You can delete it on your report at any time. It is also deleted
when you delete any conversation, or your account.
10. Age
The service is only for people 18 or older. Before your first
message we ask you to confirm it, and we keep that record. We do not knowingly
collect data from anyone younger. If we learn that we have, we delete it.
11. Not a crisis service
We do not watch conversations in real time, and we do not contact anyone on
your behalf. If you are in danger, call your local emergency number or find a
helpline at findahelpline.com.
12. Changes
If we make an important change to this policy, we will tell you in the app or
by email before it applies. The date at the top shows the latest version.
